As many of you know I am a true Xenite, and I like all things Xena and Xena related.  While researching another actor, I ran across an entry on Wikipedia about the series. It is a very good article with links to others sites. It has a great history of the Xena character, the series, and the actors. It also has some wonderful episodes links. It is a great place for those who are just learning about Xena and the series to catch up, and then join the millions of others Xena's fans from around world.  Xenapedia

An Easy Sunday Afternoon

Evelyn here,

I went and saw Beowulf today, and I enjoy it greatly.  I saw a brief part of it in its  IMAX format. Iwas thoroughly over whelmed by the actors and scenery jump out from the screen.  This is a new and brilliant technology, but I finished watching to film in it standard format. It will take some time before I can watch IMAX films and truly enjoy them. 

After the film I had this portrait done of me. The likeness is close enough but truly the artist was kind.

Sarasota Opera Is Looking for Volunteer Ushers

Evelyn here,

Until recently, not many of the people knew that I am a great opera and live theater fan.  It is only recently and after many decades that I renewed my passion for attending the theater, and last year I got the see my favorite opera - Giacomo Puccini's "Madame Butterfly" at the Mahaffey Theater http://www.mahaffeytheater.com/main.php?acc=home.

Sarasota Opera Is Looking for Volunteer Ushers

Have you ever thought of ushering at a Sarasota Opera performance? This season's Grand Re-Opening of the Saraosta Opera House will be the perfect time to join the Sarasota Opera Usher corps. As a new benefit this year, ushers will be given a ticket to each of the Sarasota Opera Festival productions.
