Teen Wolf's Season Finale Review, And Alphas On The Horizon

On the season finale of Teen Wolf, beyond
hope Jackson was saved. However, are we not just a little curious of what his
season transformation would have looked like? Apparently, it was some gruesome
winged creature that even the werewolves didn’t want to deal with.

In addition, what of Gerard's real motives for
hunting down the werewolves? It seems all to pity that he would sacrifice his
relationship with his son and his granddaughter just to avoid death from
cancer. Nevertheless, there it is the selfish of a man unable to accept life as
it is and his wish to control even death. Moreover, what has come of Gerard?
Has he become a happy meal for the pets at Dr. Deaton’s veterinarian clinic?

Scott said that he doubted that Gerard got away far
and the blots of blood on the street testify to the fact that something did get
away too far. Interesting.

Now that Derek, Peter and Lydia have cured Jackson (so
to speak) to become a true werewolf, will he be a willing member of either Derek’s
or Scott’s pack, or will he remain true to his nature and seek to team up with the
new threat, a pack of Alphas  that have
come to Beacon Hills for purposes unknown?

Have the newly arrived Alpha done away with Erica
and Boyd in the woods? On the other hand, will the two young werewolves be allowed
to join the older pack as munchkins? Will Stiles get over Lydia? Will Jackson
treat her right this time around?

Regardless, of all these questions for season three,
the relationship between Scott and Allison appears strained. Will they ever
repair the divide in their relationship? On the other hand, will they finally
accept that they will always be at odds as long as Scott is a werewolf and she
(Allison) is a hunter? The first cannot change his nature and can the other
break family tradition.

Michael Hogan ... Gerard

Tyler Posey ... Scott McCall

Crystal Reed ...  Allison Argent

Holland Roden ...  Lydia Martin

Colton Haynes ...  Jackson

Dallas: Secrets Are Revealed, Mysteries Deepen

Well, well, I do
not know how many of you watched the season finale of Dallas on TNT this Friday night. It turned
out to be one of the most surprising episodes of the hold season. In my
precious post on Dallas and entitled “Mystery
Women of Dallas
”, I explored the characters of Rebecca Sutter Ewing and Ann
Ewing, played by actresses Julie Gonzalo and Brenda Strong.

In that article
I acknowledge that both Rebecca and Ann were women of mystery, and that being
so their secrets hid the depth of their true characters as women.

Now during, “Revelations”,
the season finale of Dallas, more secrets are reveals that widen the divide
between members of the Ewing family. That J.R.,’s and John Ross plot to steal SouthFork
was to become known was a given. With so many hands in that deal, Bobby Ewing
was bound to discover J. R s deception. The fact that he did not send J.R .to
prison was also not surprising.

The surprises
came from the Ewing’s women. Rebecca and Ann Ewing, the destroyed all previous
ideas of whom they were to the Ewing’s men and as individual women.

First, Ann Ewing
surprising turn in dealing with her corrupt first husband, Harris Ryland was
great. Ann is the matriarch of SouthFork and the Ewing family, and at first,
she appeared a helpless victim of Ryland, but his attempt to blackmail Sue Ann
into laundering dirty money for him showed Ann shown to be a true fighter when
she trick Ryland into confessing him blackmail attempt. Ann’s right uppercut to
Ryland’s jaw was not shabby either.

Although, we
still do not know the importance of the photos of a child burned in the Ewing’s
fireplace, or what other secrets of Ann that are yet to be revealed, she has
shown herself a woman worthy of the Ewing name.

Then there is
Rebecca Sutter-Ewing, who although is a Ewing regardless of what name she
married Christopher under, is not Tommy Sutter’s real sister, but his one time
lover who she used for two years in a plot to swindle the Ewing out of SouthFork
and Ewing oil.

To make the
situation worse,  we not only learn that
it was Rebecca who planned to steal from millions the Ewings, as well as
Christopher new energy design but that  the
overall plot to gain SouthFork and Ewing oil rights was masterminded by Cliff Barnes,
who is the fake Rebecca's scheming father, and J.R.’s arch-rival.

Questions for
season 2 of Dallas, which will return in January 2013.

What is Rebecca
real name? Was Tommy her real husband, ex-husband, or boyfriend? Does she
really love Christopher? How will she and John Ross, take the news that their
failed schemes have brought Christopher and Elena back together? Will these two
lovers find happiness? What will happen, when the Ewings learn that the mother
of Christopher’s unborn twins is a Barnes, and that the babies are Cliff
Barnes’ grandchildren as well as Bobby’s?

More to the
point, what will J. R. reactions be after learning the Ewing and the Barnes now
have blood ties with the coming of Christopher and Rebecca’s twins?

Will Tommy body
be discovered? Will Rebecca be charged with manslaughter or can she prove she
killed Tommy in self-defense?

Until next
season!

Rabid Fans of Teen Wolf Say More Episodes

Rabid Fans of Teen Wolf Say More
Episodes

by EVELYN ALTHEIMER-FAIN on 08/03/12

Next Monday night, MTV will air the season finale of Teen Wolf. It has been
a short season, and I (probably like millions of the series other fan) would to
see this Teen Wolf graduate to a static of a full 22 to 23 episode per season.
The series is just that good and its fan based has grown and if given a chance
at full prime time static could and probably would ravel The CW Supernatural in
fans popularity.

In episode 10, Fury, after learning that Derek infected her death, which
leads to her suicide, Allison throws away all the childish things of her recent
past and envelops herself in the garments and weaponry of her life as a hunter.

Meanwhile at the sheriff's station, Scott’s secret in revealed to his
mother, Melissa, who shocked and terrified to learned that not only is her son
a werewolf, but that there are other frightening monster to fear. Oh, and
Stile’s dad, Stilinski, is out cold for all the revelations.

Derek explains to Stiles that Matt is becoming the Kanima because he
violated the rules of the Kanimas by using Jackson to kill innocence people.

Nevertheless Matt reign of terror ends will his worst fear - drowning.
Gerard drowns Matt and then taken control Jackson/ Kanima, and you don’t have
to be a scholar to figure out that Gerard intends to use the Kanima to hunt and
kill the werewolves.

In addition, who is witness to all these happening, the newly resurrected Peter
Hale. Peter is troubled by the fact that the Kanima is in Gerard’s control.

There are only two episodes left in season of the Teen Wolf,
Battlefield" and Master Plan", which should draw the line between the
hunted and the hunters  pretty clear, but
I am guessing will only mar the reality of all involve.

By the way, some of you fans of the short-lived series might remember that actor,
Ian Bohen played the very first young Hercules during 1997and
1998
on the Hercules: The
Legendary Journeys
TV series and in the 1998 Young Hercules video. Ian
is now playing Peter Hale, the previous Alphas of Derek’s old pack.

JULIE GONZALO AND BRENDA STRONG DALLAS

by

Julie
Gonzalo as
Rebecca Sutter Ewing,

I have watched Dallas on TNT since its aired in mid-June of
this year, and I am amazed at the trouble the Ewings brings down on themselves
over Southfork and the mineral rights needed for oil drilling. So far, it is
clear that John Ross is no JR. True he is JR’s heir, but John Ross does not appear
to have influence and capital to fight as his daddy fights.

As for Christopher, he may well prove to be the fighter that
will out shine John Ross. That is, if Rebecca latest secret and Tommy Sutter scheming does not get
Christopher in trouble with Vicente
Cano
over the alternative energy deal.

Brenda Strong as Ann Ewing

Finally, there is Bobby’s wife Ann Ewing. She scares me
because she appears so sweet and oh, so helpful. I want to know why she fears her
ex-husband. Moreover, I want to know more about the child in the photos with
Ann that Bobby throw is the fire.  Is
there more depth to Ann, or have I become jaded to niceness?

Longmire, No Old West Saga

Longmire, No Old West Saga

by  EVELYN ALTHEIMER-FAIN on 07/27/12

In my way of thinking, the battle for Southfork and John
Ross should have taken a bit longer. Then again, perhaps it is good to see that
the Ewings will drop their in fighting to save family members and Southfork
from outside threats.

Until Longmire, I had forgotten that not all Westerns are
centered in the ‘Old West’, or that a good dramatic crime story doesn’t always
occur in a metro area. Watching Longmire reminded me, and from what I seen so
far of the series, it leaves me restlessly waiting for the next episode. Yeah,
that last is a bit over the top, but although in Longmire the crime stories are
familiar, it is the way their told that keep me watching.

The series also reminds you that there doesn’t have to be a
lot of super technology and dressed-to-the-nines characters to hold your
attention or solve a crime.

Longmire is one of A&E new original series. I hope to
see more of it. A&E new mini-series Coma
comes to television on Labor Day, Monday August 3 at 9/8c. The Ridley Scott and
Tony Scott production is a two-night event, and is based of author Robin Cook’s
1977 novel by the same name.

The brief summary:

A young female medical student,
Susan Wheeler discovers that there is something sinister happening to the
patient at Boston Memorial, and patients’ diagnoses with non-life threatening ailments
are dying in unexplainable numbers in surgery.

After the mini-series airs, check
the “The Review” section of this site for my thoughts on this newest version of
Coma.

DALLAS
‘TRUTH AND CONSEQUENCES’, AN EPISODE RECAP & REVIEW

by
EVELYN ALTHEIMER-FAIN on 07/06/12

On TNT’S DALLAS, episode 4, ‘Truth
and Consequences’, the old guards are on their way out and the new guards are
roaring, fighting and scheming their way in. Southfork is now the sole property
of JR. After stopping an underhanded deal of Cliff Barnes to buy the ranch JR
has left the running of Southfork to his heir John Ross (Josh Henderson) with
promised that if John Ross needs him or messing up he would return. Meanwhile
his brother, Bobby in a daze over the lost of Southfork and all the scheming
and deceitfulness round him his adopted son, Christopher (JESSE METCALFE) is
beginning to show shades of grey in his personality that he never suspected
existed.

Over,
everyone is shocked by JR coup in buying Southfork, Both John Ross and
Christopher share women problems. Christopher’s wife, Rebecca, confesses and
spoils her brother scheme to rob the Ewings of money. Elena forgives John Ross.
In the desperation to get Southfork back, the insecure Christopher attempts to
blackmail John Ross with sex tape.

No who
has known the Ewings' will ever forget the decades long battles between JR and
Bobby. However, this new battle for money, love, power, and Southfork is
clearly shaping up the be a battle between the younger Ewings, John Ross and
Christopher, who not only must faceoff with each other but avoid the sharks
waiting for their ship tilt.

On Falling
Skies, episode 204, ‘Young Bloods’, Hal (DREW ROY) discovers that the spites on
Ben’s (CONNOR JESSUP) back are active, and that Ben is very secretive about
them.

However,
just what are those spikes doing? Were they used to defuse Ben’s hatred of the
Skitters? Since his encounter with them in the woods, he appears bitter and
more fearful and confused. On the other hand, are they a communication link
that the aliens are using to discover the humans plans?

Captain
Weaver (WILL PATTON) is briefly reunited with a daughter he believed dead, only
to lose her again.

Moreover,
what of this move to Charleston? Was the lone pilot telling our human the truth
of a gathering of human or was she what Tom Mason (NOAH WYLE) refused to become
- a Judas who is encouraging the humans to travel to a settlement that is
really a Skitter’s entrapment camp.
