The Bastard Executioner Comes To FX this Fall



On May 22, 2015, the FX Network announced that The Bastard Executioner, a 10-episode series was picked up as rhe networks newest original series for this fall.



Based partly on the actual Madog ap Llywelyn Revolt against King Edward I in 1294, The Bastard Executioner is set in the early 14th century. the series main protagonist is a knight in King Edward I’s army. when he becomes emotionally broken by the horrors and ravages of war, he vows to lay down his weapon. But the violence he thought he had left behind finds him again, and he is forced to pick up the deadliest sword of all: an executioner's sword.
