Widescreen Online Review’s 2021 October Days of Terror

 Welcome to ‘Widescreen Online Review’s October Days of Terror 2021’.  Last year I created a Halloween page with films and series to raise your hair and tickle your nerves for entire thirty-one days of October 2020 and then some, ‘Widescreen Online Review’s October Days of Terror’  . This year I have shorten the lists to include my top ten horror films. Some of these films are from present, the near future and years gone by. I hope you enjoy them.


Evelyn’s Top Ten Horror Fare for Halloween 2021



1.    Antlers - A small-town Oregon teacher (Keri Russell) and her brother (Jesse Plemons), the local sheriff, become entwined with a young student (Jeremy T. Thomas) harboring a dangerous secret with frightening consequences. Starring Keri Russell, Jesse Plemons, Jeremy T. 3.    Lake Of Dracula (1971)- A young girl suffers a terrifying nightmare of a vampire with blazing golden eyes. 4.    Evil Of Dracula (1974) - A professor takes up a new post at an all-girls school only to discover the school's principle conceals a dark secret and the pupils are in grave danger.

5.    The Vanished (2018) - The body of Yoon Seol-Hee disappears at the National Institute of Scientific Investigation. 6.    Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City - Returning to the origins of the massively popular Resident Evil franchise, fan and filmmaker Johannes Roberts brings the games to life for a whole new generation of fans. In Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City, once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland…with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, a group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night. 8.    Bones – In 1979, Jimmy Bones (Snoop Dogg) is a numbers runner who is loved in his neighborhood as its member and protector. He is betrayed and brutally murdered by corrupt cop Lupovich (Michael T. Weiss) and drug pusher Eddie Mack (Ricky Harris) who then forces Jimmy's associates Jeremiah (Clifton Powell) and Shotgun (Ronald Selmour) to take turns stabbing him to death. His lover Pearl (Pam Grier), had been the only one to refuse, trying to kill herself instead but was stopped. Afterward, Bones' elegant brownstone building becomes his own tomb and is closed. …. 9.    Kingdom: Ashin of the North - Tragedy, betrayal and a mysterious discovery fuel a woman's vengeance for the loss of her tribe and family in this special episode of "Kingdom." -- Netflix

This last is not a film but series that be streamed the Epic app.


10.    Chapelwaite - Following his wife's tragic death at sea, Captain Charles Boone (Adrien Brody) and his children return to the small town of Preacher’s Corners, Maine, where a dark family history haunts them until confronted.
