The love of love is on your face, .....

Today while trolling the web, my heart gave several pings of nostalgia after coming across the Deadline Hollywood article “Petula Clark, Lesley Gore, Dusty Springfield Musical ‘A Sign Of The Times’ Sets NYC Debut”. As I read the article, I was immediately transported back to my early teen years and my room where I kept my little blue box record player that played 33 1/2, 45, and LP recordings made of real vinyl.

I remember that after school and on weekends dancing and singing along to each songs mentioned in the article (“Downtown,” “Gimme Some Lovin’,” “Rescue Me,” “I Know A Place”) and many other music artist of that times. Now in New York City the musical, A Sign of the Times to honor these artists will open soon. In my view and  knowing full well that the tribute will be a success, I hope that it will make here to the Duke Energy Center for the Arts - Mahaffey Theater here in Tampa Bay.

The official synopsis: Summer, 1965. With the country in transition – as the war in Vietnam rages on and struggles for civil rights and women’s liberation command headlines – one aspirational young woman finds herself in New York City, and ready to dive into this brave new world. In A Sign of the Times, journey back to America’s most unforgettable decade as a young photographer tries to make her way amid the changing times that defined an era. -- Deadline Hollywoo
