Joe DeBoer and Kyle McConaghy’s acclaimed synth-laden retro-thriller details the sordid sequence of events that lands a blood-stained scrap of mail on the desk of a county post-office’s “dead letter” investigator, and its murderous repercussions.
I am usually leery of religious comedies, but EVAN ALMIGHTY looks as if it will be well worth the money to go see it. The storyline is simple. God is once again upset with humanity and He is sending a second flood. Hmm? Why am I not surprise? Anyway, Evan Baxter (Steve Carell) a newly Washington D. C. congressman is God's (played by Morgan Freeman) newly selected but reluctant Moses. God want the reluctant Evan to build an arc the saves the animals and the best of humanity. However, like, the biblical Hosea before him, Evan does not believe God and his hilarious conversion begins. Judging by the trailer, I like what I see so far, so I putting EVAN ALMIGHTY on my must see list of summer movies. Although I do not see it as a blockbuster, I think it will add the summer’s fun.
The cast of EVAN ALMIGHTY includes Steve Carell, Morgan Freeman, Lauren Graham, John Goodman, John Michael Higgins, Jimmy Bennett, Wanda Sykes, Jonah Hill. Release Date: June 22, 2007. Evelyn out.
It is no surprise to my fellow Xenites that I also would be a fan of the series, Hercules the Legendary Journeys. Recently I completed my collection of the series with the purchase of the final two seasons.Earlier today and as I lay back watchinga few episodes from the show, I realized that when the series was originally airing, I had fallen away from it to watchXena Warrior Princess.Today, as I watched “Revelations” fromHercules the Legendary Journeys,I wanted to know what the series former star, Kevin Sorbo was doing.I know that after leaving the Hercules that he had starred in the Gene Roddenberry series, Andromeda, but after it, ended Sorbo appeared to drop of the screen.
Well, after a little research, I found my answer, and Kevin Sorbo. He is very busy with many new projects from television appearance to movies. One of his most recent projects, in which he stars, is the movie made for television, ‘Something Beneath”.In it, Sorbo plays a priest with a strangeness about him that is notable by everyone. He is also the leader of asmall group of environmentalists, who are attending a conference at a hotel, which soon becomes the center of terror and death to a sinister enmity that preys on the fears of the people in Sorbo’s group. To save his colleagues and himself Sorbo must battle this alien enmity that secretes portion of itself in a ooze form and then attaches itself to it prey.
From the trailer ‘Something Beneath” looks promising to this die hard of a sci-fi fan. It is due for released on June 16, 2007 on the SCI-FI Channel.
