Will The Red Arrow Come Forth in 'Arrow' Second Season?

Many viewers are wondering if Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) will make his debut as Red Arrow during season 2 of Arrow. The no so goody Harper greatest desire is to help the Arrow (Oliver Queen/Stephen Amell) in his mission to safeguard the people of Starling City. However, Harper is flout with rejection from the Arrow at every turn. 

Still the young would-be superhero does what he can to help those people in need. The prime example was his act of helping the people trapped on a bus during the destruction of The Glades, an act of vengeance of the Dark Arrow (John Barrowman/Malcolm Merlyn) to which the Arrow and John Diggle (David Ramsey) attempt to stop (Episode 123, Sacrifice).

Throughout his history in the DC Comics Roy Harper have had many incarnations, his first, Arsenal. He began his existence as Roy William Harper, Jr. on a Navajo reservation where he learned his skill

with a bow and arrow. Later and after the accidental death of his father, Harper began a ward and sidekick of the Green Arrow. As time and the decades moved forward, Roy Harper gained two addition identities that of th  Speedy and the Red Arrow. In becoming the superhero, that he is notice for as being today, Harper road has not been a smooth one.

As stated in the DC Comic Database, after leaving the Green Arrow over personal issues, and his a long struggle against a heroin addiction, he became a government agent for many years, and although as an adult, he would return to being a superhero. His brief relationship with the super-villain Cheshire made him the father of a young girl named Lain Harper. He has been a member of Team Arrow, the Teen Titans, Checkmate, the Suicide Squad, the Outsiders and the Justice League of America.

Now as a budding member of The CW’s Arrow team, Roy Harper is once again attempting to find his place in the world. With the help of Oliver Queen sister, Thea Queen (Willa

Holland) as his sole support, Harper fights to turn his past criminal life into one that serves and help the people of Starling City and those of The Glades. Can he, and will he in this incarnation on the CW beat the odds and not succumb to the temptations of his previous incarnations.

Although no word of Roy Harper transmutation as the Red Arrow, millions of Arrow’s fans are waiting to see what immersion in season 2.

The role as Roy Harper/Red Arrow is a good opportunity for the former MTV Teen Wolf star Colton Haynes. On Teen Wolf, Haynes character was the angry and self centered Jackson / Jackson Whittemore, who later became

the Kanima, a tormented werewolf monster.
