On Wednesday, March 1, 2017, Netflix confirmed their involvement in the production of the following three series TROY: Fall of a City, Black Earth Rising and The Spy. All three series will be co-produced in association with BBC One, BBC Two and Canal Plus. One of the hottest series streaming on Netflix now is Frontier. The series is a
six-part historical based annal about some of the trappers and entrepreneurs of
18th-century North America who often fought unrelentingly and inhumanely for
control of the fur trade from the Hudson's Bay Company, a company that is in operation
today.
The series is centered around Declan Harp (Jason Momoa), a
part-Irish, part-Native American outlaw who broke from the Hudson's Bay
Company's after Lord Benton (Alun Armstrong) killed his mother, and is now attempting
to break the company's monopoly on the fur trade in Canada by entering into an agreement
with the Water Walkers (Cree Indians). As Harp fights to undermine the Hudson's
Bay Company's monopoly, Captain Chesterfield (Evan Jonigkeit) under the command
of Lord Benton plot to capture Harp by using information provided by Michael
Smith (Landon Liboiron), a young Irish stowaway. However, Smith's loyalties are
proofing to be questionable.
