Want to know what I'm watching next weekend? As an avid fan of
historical based films, I decided that on June 30th to add DramaFever's newest
movie addition, The Admiral, to my watch list.
The story of The Admiral is
based on a true story about a battle between
Korea and Japan in the year 1597, in which Korean naval Admiral Yi Sun Shin, badly
outnumber by a Japanese naval battle fleet fights on for the freedom of his
country.
The Admiral stars Choi Min Sik and Ryu Seung Ryong and will be a June 30 on
DramaFever!
Another film worth the watch is Phantom Detective.
I watch this dark surreal thriller about an agent of a mysterious private investigative
team so secret they are like ghosts.
What they do is take down deadly criminals who slip through the legal
system in one way or another. This story
of the Phantom
Detective revolves around Hong Gil Dong (Lee Je Hoon from Signal) as a
vigilante detective, who is out to avenge his mother death. After nearly 20
years, Hong Gil Dong tracks down the murderer only to end up in an across
country chase with his target's granddaughters in toll. As the detective gets
nearer and nearer to his target, a much more sinister and darker plot is reveal
that is driving Hong Gil Dong to seek revenge.
Lee Je Hoon was good as Park Hae Young
in Signal, but he
is a great ante-hero in this haunting tale of the Phantom
Detective. The final climatic scene between heroes and villains will blow
you away.
