This
is the story of Harry Keogh, who depending on your point of view, is either blessed
or cursed with the ability to converse with the dead. As a young man, he uses his ability to seek
revenge for the cruel murder of his beloved mother. In doing so, he is swept up into a web of
international intrigue, but he is not the only man with the strange ability of
the Necromancer. For deep in the dark and mysterious hills of Romania another
young man is using his gift of necromancing to become the ultimate archenemy of
humanity, … leaving Harry as the only man who can save the world.
The
Necroscope novel series is the brainchild of British writer Brian Lumley, and the 21 novels have a life span
from 1986 to the present.
Necroscope puts the
terror back into the vampire sagas.
