Widescreen Online Review Present: The Last Vermeer

The Last Vermeer is lavatorial based story about the discovery of a stolen Vermeer painting by the Nazis. The crime took place when Captain Joseph Piller, a Dutch Jew, was fighting in the Resistance during the Second World War, and the witty, debonair aesthete, Han van Meegeren was hosting hedonistic soirées and selling Dutch art treasures to Hermann Goring and other top Nazis. After the war, Piller becomes an investigator assigned to find and redistribute stolen art, which then results in the van Meegeren being accused of collaboration — a crime punishable by death.
