The Fox Network has released its meager list of fall series premiere dates

As the titles states Fox has released its 'meager' list of series premiere dates for this fall. The reason for the inclusion of the word ‘meager’ is that in the past two or three decades there has been a marked decline of quality primetime shows on the network lasting no more than two to three seasons. The main reasons for this decline is probably low viewership, cancelling series too soon (a habit which could possibly leave any heads of a network with eggs on their faces when a cancelled series becomes a long running international sensation elsewhere) and of course the now booming streaming media. In any case, here is what Fox has to offer this fall.

Sunday, Sept. 11

  • 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT: Monarch, Plot  - A country music answer to the void left by the hit series Empire. Don't get me wrong, I like country music, but the similarities of this musical drama that follows the struggles of a family to remain on top in the music business is telling.

Monday, Sept. 19

  • 8 p.m.: 911
  • 9 p.m.: The Cleaning Lady -- season 2, promising but will make it beyond a third season. The pressing question is this. Will Thony rise to become the number one trusted cleaner and later doctor while still keeping her family safe from the knowledge of what she actually does for a living with the Feds, Arman Morales and survive the criminal organization she works for?

Tuesday, Sept. 20

  • 8 p.m.: The Resident
  • 9 p.m.: Monarch (regular slot)

Wednesday, Sept. 21

  • 8 p.m.: The Masked Singer
  • 9 p.m.: Lego Masters

Sunday, Sept. 25

  • 8 p.m.: The Simpsons
  • 8:30 p.m.: The Great North
  • 9 p.m.: Bob’s Burgers
  • 9:30 p.m.: Family Guy

Thursday, Sept. 29

  • 8 p.m.: Hell’s Kitchen
  • 9 p.m.: Welcome to Flatch
  • 9:30 p.m.: Call Me Kat
