I Am Dragon

I just watched one of the greatest love stories ever. Anyone that really knows me knows that I love dragon stories, the good ones, the funny ones and the ones about dragons that will eat you up.  I love them all. I guess my fascination with them started after watching one of the many King Arthur adaptation films, in which Merlin was communicating with the dragon beneath his crystal cave. However, all we saw as viewers was deep ripples being stirred by something large that we could only imagine was the dragon swimming beneath the water.  Nevertheless, from that day on I was hooked and it doesn’t matter what part of the world the dragon originated from, I have watched and read about them from the time I was a young girl and now up into my senior years.

This brings me to the subject of tonight’s post. While trolling the Roku Channel; I found the film “I Am Dragon”. The film is a heartfelt dragon story about a princess offered up to a dragon while singing a traditional dragon song on the day of her marriage. If the princess’s betrothed finds her and kills the dragon, then he is considered worthy of marrying the princess and a mighty dragon slayer. However, in “I Am Dragon” there is more to this princess and dragon story than one would guess.  This is a great film for the entire family, and as far as ratings goes, “I Am Dragon” is up there with such films as  “Dragonslayer” (1981), “Reign of Fire” (2002) and “Dragonheart” (1996 and all its sequels).. ‘I Am Dragon” is a 2015 Russian film.
