Joe DeBoer and Kyle McConaghy’s acclaimed synth-laden retro-thriller details the sordid sequence of events that lands a blood-stained scrap of mail on the desk of a county post-office’s “dead letter” investigator, and its murderous repercussions.
CBS Network's New Daytime Soap Opera Beyond the Gates is set in a leafy Maryland suburb just outside of Washington D.C., and in one the most affluent African American counties in the United States.— As described in a press release, via Paramount Global.
Set in the fictional gated Fairmont Estates, located in the affluent Maryland and Washington, D.C. area,[2] Beyond the Gates will tell "the story of a wealthy Black family in a posh, gated community."[3] At the center of the story will be the Dupree family — Vernon, Anita, Nicole and Dani — described as a "powerful and prestigious multi-generational family" and defined as "Black royalty". Those outside of the gated community will watch close, while navigating their own lives.
Ever ask yourself about what happened to actor De'Voreaux White, who played Argyle in the 1988 mega hit, "Die Hard" starring Bruce Willis. I did this morning, and among the many articles about White, I ran across this old DieHard batteries commercial featuring both White and Willis.

From Blumhouse and visionary writer-director Leigh Whannell, the creators of the chilling modern monster tale The Invisible Man, comes a terrifying new lupine nightmare: Wolf Man.
Golden Globe nominee Christopher Abbott (Poor Things, It Comes at Night) stars as Blake, a San Francisco husband and father, who inherits his remote childhood home in rural Oregon after his own father vanishes and is presumed dead. With his marriage to his high-powered wife, Charlotte (Emmy winner Julia Garner; Ozark, Inventing Anna), fraying, Blake persuades Charlotte to take a break from the city and visit the property with their young daughter, Ginger (Matlida Firth; Hullraisers, Coma).
But as the family approaches the farmhouse in the dead of night, they’re attacked by an unseen animal and, in a desperate escape, barricade themselves inside the home as the creature prowls the perimeter. As the night stretches on, however, Blake begins to behave strangely, transforming into something unrecognizable, and Charlotte will be forced to decide whether the terror within their house is more lethal than the danger without.
The film co-stars Sam Jaeger (The Handmaid’s Tale), Ben Prendergast (The Sojourn Audio Drama) and Benedict Hardie (The Invisible Man).
Wolf Man is directed by Whannell, whose previous films with Blumhouse include The Invisible Man, Upgrade and Insidious: Chapter 3. The screenplay is written by Leigh Whannell & Corbett Tuck, Lauren Schuker Blum & Rebecca Angelo (Dumb Money).
The film is produced by Blumhouse founder and CEO Jason Blum and is executive produced by Ryan Gosling, Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner and Leigh Whannell. Wolf Man is a Blumhouse and Motel Movies production. -- Universal Pictures

You'll never guess what Murder in a Small Town is about. The Canadian drama is based on L.R. Wright's Karl Alberg series of books and follows detective Karl Alberg (Rossif Sutherland) after he moves to a quaint coastal town to escape the hubbub of the big city, only to find that small towns have murders, too. Kristin Kreuk co-stars as his romantic interest, who probably won't get murdered. At least not until Season 12, anyway.

This fall the CW Networks new series, The Librarians:
The Next Chapter has a new team that team that protects the world by
watching over some of its most dangerous artifacts. In the spin-off, Librarian Vikram
Chamberlin (Callum McGowan) from the past gets stuck in our time and forms a
new team when he accidentally unleashes magic into the world.
The cast
of ‘The Librarians: The Next Chapter’ are Callum McGowan, Olivia Morris, Bluey
Robinson and Caroline Loncq join previously announced Jessica Green and guest
star Christian Kane, who reprises his role as Jacob Stone.
McGowan will play Vikram Chamberlin, The Librarian. Vikram was THE Librarian
in 1847. A protean genius and swashbuckler, he broke the rules of The
Library and accidentally transported himself to present-day Central Europe
where he must lead a team of talented young people in securing magical artifacts
from those who would abuse them. The question is, will Vikram keep
his oath to the Library (and his new team) or will he attempt to travel back to
his own time where unfinished business – and his heart – remain.
Morris portrays Lysa Pascal, The Scientist. A brilliant polymath, Lysa holds
advanced degrees in physics, mathematics, and engineering. Because of a
childhood tragedy, she is obsessed with eliminating the unpredictable
from life. Upon inheriting an ancient castle in Serbia, she comes
into the orbit of Vikram and the Library. She joins his
team to see if “magic” can be explained in scientific terms. There is also
a deeper motive to her involvement…Vikram’s past may be the key to
unraveling her own identity.
Robinson is Connor Green, The Historian. Having lost a career in academia
after claiming that magic does exist in the world, Connor became a
fringe figure, posting his findings on the internet to an audience of
conspiracy freaks. In addition to an encyclopedic knowledge of history and all
things supernatural, Connor is an extreme athlete and parkour expert, having
trained himself to get into…and out of…the secretive corners
of the paranormal world. Connor’s involvement with Vikram is his
chance to prove that he was right. Unfortunately, he is now forsworn from ever
telling anyone what he knows.
Loncq plays Elaine Astalot, The Caretaker. Elaine, a resident of Camelot
in the days of King Arthur, is an immortal and caretaker
of the Library. She has her hands full keeping Vikram
and the rest of his team in their lanes, but never
loses the keep-calm-and-carry-on attitude of a British landlady who’s
pretty much seen it all in her fourteen centuries on the planet.”
The latest AMC spinoff to The Walking Dead saga is 'The
Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live', a limited series in which estranged zombie
warriors and lovers Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) will reunite.
Most of us fans were surprised when some years ago unknown agents swooshed a
badly wounded Rick away in a helicopter. Of these agents, we could only hope they
would heal him, and not make him into a creature worst than the zombies already
hunting our battle worn heroes. Emotions were high back then, and we grieved
his lost with Michonne and Carl (Chandler Riggs), and greatly feared for Judith
Grimes (Cailey Fleming) the once infant girl that Michonne and the now dead
half brother Carl cared for and protected since Rick went missing and thought truly
dead, and hopefully not walking among the teaming dead.
Well, enough of my emotional rant ‘Rick is back’ and will rejoin
his little band of zombie killers this Sunday, February 25,
2024 on the AMC cable channel and the AMC+ streaming network.
