Two of the Best Rated Films of thie 2010 Winter's Season, Benicio Del Toro‘s The Wolfman and Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, are Playing Now!

The new version of the old Universal film The Wolfman is a winner! The film, which stars Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins, is a fantastic upgrade of the old Universal black and white horror film that starred Lon Chaney, and this review is based on my perspective dating back to the day when I was a child lying in an oversize bed with six or more my of sibling and cousins watching the weekly late night horror film.

The horror and surprise levels in this new film is wonderful rich and had the same level of excitement and expectation as the older film and is highly satisfied. Benioc Del Torro was great as the Wolfman and viewers while knowing that Lawrence is a murdering monster, will feel some sympathy for his plight as a man bitten and cursed by a raging beast, who later in the film turns out to be ... I not telling, but viewers will enjoy an evening of good entertainment in watching this film. The Wolfman musical theme is similar to the 'BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA theme Love Song for a Vampire and composed by Wojciech Kilar, however it is the work of composer Danny Elfman. Following is a bit of the soundtrack  Wolf Suite Pt 1 .

As for rating this film, this 50-something fan and fan page webmaster rates The Wolfman (2010) five out of five stars. Although the follow NYPost review is less glowing with the reviewer rating, the companying video has enough scenes from the film to give viewers a taste of its misty 19th century atmosphere and rising drama.

Then there the latest Adventure action film from the makers the Harry Potter sage, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.

Having been a Harry Potter great, I must admit to losing interest in the sage after the third film and stopped going to the theater to see the newer episodes. I would watch them as they came out on cable, and I didn't think the different fantasy films (that will remain nameless here) that came out in the previous carrying the same excitement level and marketed for the dollars and not for good storylines.

However, I was pleasantly surprised and happy that staying to see the 10 P.M. showing of Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. was not a mistake. I  think the film is a step up from the recent Harry Potter film and a sequel should be on order.

Below is the fan review video from ReelzChannel.  "Fan Review -  First Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.

Kevin McKidd played the larger than life Poseidon and father to half-god, Percy Jackson played by Logan Lerman. I rate this film five out of five also.

Evelyn out.
