Dallas: Blood is Thicker Than Oil

I have watched Dallas
on TNT since its aired in mid-June of this year, and I am amazed at
the trouble the Ewings brings down on themselves over Southfork and the mineral
rights needed for oil drilling. So far, it is clear that John Ross is no JR.
True he is JR’s heir, but John Ross does not appear to have influence and
capital to fight as his daddy fights. 

As for Christopher,
he may well prove to be the fighter that will out shine John Ross. That is, if
Rebecca latest secret and Tommy Sutter scheming does not get Christopher in
trouble with Vicente Cano over the alternative energy deal.

Finally, there is
Bobby’s wife Ann Ewing. She scares me because she appears so sweet and oh, so
helpful. I want to know why she fears her ex-husband. Moreover, I want to know
more about the child in the photos with Ann that Bobby throw is the fire. 

 Is there more depth to Ann, or have I become jaded to niceness?

In my way of
thinking, the battle for Southfork and John Ross should have taken a bit
longer. But, then again, perhaps it is good to see that the Ewings will drop
their in-fighting to save family members and Southfork from outside threats.
