For those you who don’t know me well, I am a lover of good
operas, plays, and musical. My latest fetish is to see Jekyll and Hyde, a
Broadway Musical coming to the Straz Center in Tampa starting this October 23
and will run through October 28.
Many of you have seen the movies and read the original
novella by the Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson, but this musical is special
in that it focuses on the romantic elements of Stevenson’s story.
I t also as
the question,
Was Mr. Hyde truly all monster or like Weber’ Phantom was he
seeking to be loved and became the monster he is after so much rejection?
I can’t wait to see it, bit I must! Hey! Make it a Halloween treat. I intend to.

Another theater production to look forward to seeing is Margaret Edson’s play WIT, which will open October 21 at The Palladium Theater.
