A Fond Farewell to Ruby Rose

I, as a victim of three auto accidents caused by bad drivers
in which I ended up with multiple injuries including a back injury, can
understand why actress Ruby Rose left her dual role as Kate Kane / Batwoman
after one season of the hit CW series

.

Although there were probably stuntwomen to fill in on some
of the more strenuous stunts, the role of Batwoman alone would still be
physically demanding for any actress. Thus, for Ruby Rose, who suffers from a
back injury because of a failed stunt in another production, playing Batwoman
must have been very painful to pull off.

This being said, Ruby Rose's decision to quit the prize dual
role must have been equally as painful, even though it was the right decision
for the right reason. Still, Ruby Rose is ours now, and she gave us a side of
Batwoman that we will always remember.

In the wake of Ruby Rose's departure, we can only hope that
the actress that replaces her can portray Batwoman as charismatic, daring, and
real as the one Ruby Rose created.

Because of Ruby Rose's departure from the series, the Kate
Kane / Batwoman that we know is being totally recast with another character. This
character will pick up the mantel of Batwoman but she will retain her own identity
and not that of Kate Kane. Like Bruce Wayne, Kate Kane will disappear.

And frankly, there is only one actress who can play Kate
Kane / Batwoman the way we like her and that will always be Ruby Rose.

For now, you can watch Ruby Rose in Batwoman on the CW
streaming app and the CW website here, Batwoman.

“Rudy, you will be missed. Thank you for being our Batwoman.”
