Spies That Loved Us - REELZ T.V. XIII Is A Hit!

Spy thrillers have return to the small screen. Not since the 1960s television series 'I Spy' and 'The Man for Uncle' and 'Mission Impossible' has television lite up with such intrigue, action, and adventure as in the new spy thriller XIII, which debuted on REELZ T.V. last year. Many of us may have missed it because REELZ is still a little known television itself.

Nevertheless, XIII, is a blend of the Bourne Trilogy and James Bond. The series is about an secret agent who for reason he cannot remember because he has been betrayed by his agency (the CIA). The government had the CIA erased his memory. Yet, when the government is not attempting to kill XII, they sic the CIA on him in order to get him do operations that they believe that only he can handle.

For television, this series is a high tech adventure, which takes the viewers around the world to tackle  global issues that are slowly affecting us today.

XIII is played by Stuart Townsend. Added to his credit of works is Resurrection Man, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, as well as the lead role of the Vampire Lestat in the film adaptation of Anne Rice's novel Queen of the Damned.

XIII has started its second season and is popularly known as XII.2. You can find XIII on Friday's night at 10 p.m. on REELZ T.V. Check your local cable listings for the REELZ channel and other programming.I expect XIII to have a long run.

XIII the series is based on a Belgian comic series created by author Van Jean Hamme and illustrator William Vance. The Day of the Black Sun: XIII Vol.

There is also a UBI Soft game and a 2008 film adaption of XII that has gained an universal cult following. The film is  entitled XIII: The Conspiracy.
