Aliens Lovers, Werewolves Socialites, Apocalypses Demons, and Turbulent Destinies

Tonight on Syfy,  Bitten air with episode two “Prodigal”. As a newbie series, bitten has proved to be a show worth watching. That its main protagonist is an Elena Michaels (Laura Vandervoor), a woman who does not want to live a werewolf and values her remaining humanity is an interesting twist. 

In the whole premise of a pack of werewolves with ancient and aristocratic bloodlines, maintaining their humans’ lifestyles yet still loyal to the call of their pack is good. In older werewolves series the main werewolf is a lone male wolf seeking its sire because it wants to reverse the curse its sire’s bite, which generally means a battle to the death with luck ending the death of the sire.

Although reluctant Elena Michaels honor the call of her pack leaders and helps them to protect pack member sand humans alike, she prefer not to denied her blood ties wit them. It is easy to believe that Clay Danvers (Greyston Holt) a once feral werewolf is the reason for her reluctance to embrace her werewolf state wholeheartedly. If so, did he do it for reasons of love?

The opening credit of Bitten is done well graphically and choreographically. It creates an atmosphere that is of richly ancient origin. The side view nudity as the character change from human form to wolf form is dome tactfully and the actual transformation is done nicely and quickly without all the blood shed. 

Overall, Bitten is a ’must see series' that will probably have a long television run. In addition, fans of Laura Vandervoor from her brief role on Smallville as Supegirl.

Bitten airs Mondays at 10/9c.

I can admit when I am wrong and this is true of the FOX’s series Sleep Hollow. All I can say is that   I have actual began to care about what each character is enduring and they seek to stop the evil that has invasion Sleepy hollow from covering the earth and destroying mankind as we know it.

storylines and the characters presence are much improved.

Sleep Hollow can be seen on Mondays at 8/7c.

Speaking of Fox series, it is rumors that Almost Human may be canceled the science fiction drama Almost Human is about a human cop teaming up with android to fight crime in 2048. 

I do not doubt this rumor as my expectation about the series has dropped since the first episode.However, FOX might surprise everyone by renewing the series anyway. After all, they have Renewed The Following, which I thought would die after its first episode.

Although is jeopardy of being a one shot series, Killer Women is a strong plotted series, which centers on harden female Texas Ranger, Molly Parker (Tricia Helfer) assigned to catch some of the deadliest female killers in Texas. It is good to watch a female lead character is a contemporary setting and not an ancient Xenafied makeover. 

Killer Women airs Tuesdays at 10/9c.

For those of you who have seen to early showing of Starz’s Black Sails on demand or the Starz’s channel, you know that Captain Flint (Toby Stephens) is no pirate resembling one played by Errol Fynn, and that John Sliver (Luke Arnold) got his repetition of a cook by default after an act to stay alive. You also know that Anne Bonny (Clara Paget) is one of Captain Flint rivals and she mostly likely became a pirate to buck the traditional and restrictive role of women during her time. 

In addition, knowing Starz, Black Sail will probably explore sexual avenues of interest to all viewers. Hopefully, such scenes will be limited and not destructive to the storylines of the episodes.

The generally of Black Sail is adventures of Captain Flint and his crew as they sail and raid merchants vassals for their supplies  while they search for massive treasury that is said to be abound a heavily guarded man-of-war ship. As the pirates sail toward their individual destinies, viewers will see their relationships grow and in some cases self-destruct. 

Black sails air Saturdays at 9pm ET/PT.

As always The CW is struggling will the ratings and there is at least three series in jeopardy of being cancel in May. They are Beauty and the Beast, which seem like a sure thing for cancellation, Reign and The Tomorrow People, which in my opinion are two series that are victims of no more than the rating war between networks crowding their most popular series on the same night. This crowd is even worse this season.

Nevertheless, The Tomorrow People and Reign could benefit in the rating game by changing the night in which the series air. Thursday night could be a good start. If this is not good enough and cancellation becomes a surety, then these two series could also benefit from being picked up by another network. As for Beauty and the Beast, this series has struggled since episode one but it still fails to draw a strong audience base. 

The CW series Star-Cross-will debut on February 17, 2014, and already there is a rumor about
whether the series will succeed or not. Let’s hope it does not turn out to be a UFO version of Twilight.
