Sleepy Hollow Awaken Viewers To A New Adaptation On Washington Irving Classic Tale Of The Supernatural

Sleepy
Hollow
is Fox’s attempt at gaining a foothold in the
supernatural genre. The series is supernatural adventure, in which the lead
character Ichabod Crane, played by Tom Mison, is suddenly by the return of the
Pale Rider (Death), who is of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Ichabod died
after General Washington ordered him to identify and kill during the
revolutionary war in 1776. The blood of the headless ride and Ichabod mission
continue after the horseman returned.

Ichabod is forced to work with Lt. Abbie Mills, played
by
Nicole Beharie, of
the SHPD. When she was young, she and her sister witness the coming of what
they believed to be a monster among four white trees. That event changed to
Abbie and her sister’s love. Abbie became a cop and after the death of her
chief she discovers that neither she nor her sister are insane and that the
chief left detail records on the events surrounding the Four horsemen, and that
she and Ichabod were chosen to battle the rising evil to save the world.

Starting slow and in spite of it well-known cast of
stars, Sleepy Hollow’s plot-line might needs to become stronger if it intends
beat out the already well established supernatural series like NBC’s Grimm, The
CW’s Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries and MTV’s Teen Wolf in the ratings.

Others supernatural and fantasy series premiering
this fall, ABC Family’s Ravenswood,
Fox’s  Almost Human, NBC’s Dracula,
 Lifetime’s
Witches
of East End
, The CW’s The Originals,  and Once
Upon A Time In Wonderland
.

In truth, Almost Human,
which has not aired yet and Fox’s newest science fiction drama, probably has a
better chance at being a long run series than Sleepy Hollow.

Sleepy airs every Monday on Fox at 9pm.

Note: Karl Urban of Xena Warrior Princess and the new Star Trex films is starring Almost human as  John Kennex
an injured detective who must partner with a discontuned andriodd model, played by Michael Ealy.
