Found this interesting article on the suppose return of the
international hit series Xena Warrior Princess, which starred Lucy Lawless in
the title role and Renee O'Connor as Gabriell
The article contains
an interview with Lucy Lawless in which she talks about the return of Xena as

The biggest question
that enters my mind is what to do about the character of Ares, the God of war.
The Late Kevin Smith was the reigning king when he portrayed to character Ares.
The electricity and charisma between Xena and Ares was always a fan famous in
the series. Therefore, if Xena does return to the airways, will there be an
Ares? Who could play the part as well as Smith?
Moreover, what the
physical return of Xena? After all, in the series finale she did not just die,
she was beheaded, rippled with arrows, and her body burn to dusk by Gabrielle.
Well, this is the
miracle age for character resurrections. Explaining Xena’s return would not be
an impossible task so long as there are dream states, magical resurrections, or
the will of a powerful god.
In any case, the rumors of Xena’s are flying around
the web. Will one of the rumors bare fruit? As a fan of the series, it would be
exciting to see Xena ride across the screen again.
At the same time,
while I am trying to avoid sounding pessimistic, it would probably be safe not
to put to much stock in rumors. For now, we will have to wait and see what time
brings.
